GUIDE
New to Zürich with no GP? How to get a full private health check-up.
If you have recently moved to Zürich and do not yet have a family doctor, you can arrange a private preventive health assessment directly, with no referral. LongevityNow is a physician-led practice near Zürich Hauptbahnhof that works with English-speaking patients. A full baseline typically takes two to three appointments across about two weeks, and every result is explained by a physician in plain language.
You do not need a referral
In Switzerland you can arrange a private preventive assessment without a referral and without an existing GP. You can book directly through the contact form, or take the short online assessment first to get a recommended starting point. It complements a future family-doctor relationship rather than replacing it.
What a first assessment covers
A baseline goes wider than a routine check-up. It includes cardiovascular imaging, advanced lipid markers such as ApoB and lipoprotein(a), metabolic panels, body composition, and a sleep and lifestyle review. Findings are reviewed with you by a physician and translated into a clear, individual plan rather than a fixed package.
Why a baseline matters when you have just moved
A new country usually means no medical history on file locally. An assessment creates a precise baseline you can carry forward, and it can surface risk that a routine visit is not designed to detect. In one study of asymptomatic adults, most of those rated low risk by a standard score still had early, silent arterial changes on imaging (Circulation, 2015).
